Spence Saga
Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ron...
Few can bring the warmth... we can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love, than the smile on their face.

They've a supply of precious stories, yet they've time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh, they grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents as our legacy from above,
to share the moments of our life, as extra measures of His love.

4th of July 2010

We finally made it up to our cabin!
The weather hasn't been very
cooperative this year as you can
tell by these pictures. We woke up
to snow the first week of June which
is a big NO NO!!! Snow is fine
at Christmas or even Jan & Feb,
but not May or June!

Asher had a blast making
sand castles. It's a little
boy's dream to have permission
to get as dirty as possible!

We brought the 4-wheelers
down to the lake. Ethan
really had fun cruisin' around
on the sand.

Asher loved the 4-wheeler too.
It might have even taken the
place of the "Bot" (his word for bike!:)

We had 10 people at the cabin -
Jeremy, Lindsay, & Asher
Chad & Ethan
Ron & Karen
Lindsay's parents -
Steve & Michele
and of course, Gramps
and Baxter & Tippy!
We fit quite a bit in.....got there
Friday night and came home
Monday night. We played
tennis, went golfing, saw a play
Crazy for You at the Pickleville Theater,
hiked the Minnetonka Caves, did lots of
4-wheeling, played games, went swimming
and made tin-foil dinners and s'mores in our
barbeque pit. The only thing we missed out on was
boating.....it was a bit too cold & windy for that.
It was a very fun way to spend the 4th! This
was Ethan's and Chad's first trip there and
we hope they'll be able to come a lot more.
We really enjoyed getting to know Lindsay's
parents better. Hopefully, we'll be able to
have many more trips like this one!
