Spence Saga
Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ron...
Few can bring the warmth... we can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love, than the smile on their face.

They've a supply of precious stories, yet they've time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh, they grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents as our legacy from above,
to share the moments of our life, as extra measures of His love.

CHAN'S Annual Birthday Celebration - PARTY ON!

For the past 5 years, we've been involved with
Chandler's Birthday Celebration.
This year was no different
except we celebrated his 16th birthday!
He's lucky to have a summer birthday
so he and his buddies spent 4 days
at our cabin having
FUN, FUN, AND MORE FUN!!!
Anticipating a fun day on the lake!

Zach, Chan, Sage, Logan, and Nate

Chandler flexing his muscles
just before he did a back flip off the boat!

The 4-man tube was
definitely a hit!
When asked what their
favorite activity was,
it was definitely tubing!

We all took a nap while
Nate struggled to get the
wakeboard on!

Sage was so warn out,
he couldn't sit up or pull
his trunks up which were
slipping down. Nate had to help
pull them up so he wouldn't
be too indecent!

The boat was moving so the
picture is blurry, but this
is Chan wakeboarding in top form!

As soon as the water got choppy,
they were back on the tube!

Nate and Sage
waiting for a wild ride!
(couldn't be wild enough for these two)

~Chillin' at night
playing cards~

Had a fun Horseshoe Tournament.

~Nate with his great follow-through shot~
~Great form Sage~

Zach and Sage were on a team,
but ended up losing to Nate and Chan.
Nate had played a lot at his cabin
so he was a little more experienced!
However, Ron and I played the winners.
It was the Oldsters against the Young
Whippersnappers! And guess who won -
you guessed it "The Oldsters" Sorry
boys, but we had to humble Nate a little!

The trip wouldn't be complete without
a bonfire and making S'mores! Sage
definitely roasted the best marshmallows - browned
to perfection!
I have to say, these were a great
group of guys! They were all very
polite and respectful. They were quiet when
we asked them to settle down for the night.
They were very helpful and helped clean
up the cabin and thanked me after
every meal I made for them.
Some people might think we're nuts for
doing this every year, but I honestly
can say we enjoy it just as much as the boys!
SEE YA NEXT YEAR BOYS!!!
