Spence Saga
Grandma Karen & Grandpa Ron...
Few can bring the warmth... we can find in their embrace,
And little more is needed to bring love, than the smile on their face.

They've a supply of precious stories, yet they've time to wipe a tear,
Or give us reasons to make us laugh, they grow more precious through the years.

I believe that God sent us Grandparents as our legacy from above,
to share the moments of our life, as extra measures of His love.

Nothing Sweeter Than.....

There's nothing sweeter than seeing a cute little eight year old
become a new member of the church.  Logan was all smiles
and we were so happy that his dad Taylor baptized him.

Looks so grown up in his suit

Lots of family and friends attended

Met at our house afterwards for a luncheon

 Katy, Kelsey, and Kaytlyn

 So proud of Logan

 Proud grandparents

So glad Nana Low was able to attend

Digging in

  Risher Family

Doesn't get cuter than this!

Logan must be one lucky boy - the two nicest days recently
were his birthday and now his baptism day!  There were
about 25 people that attended his baptism and luncheon after.
We let the kids swim that afternoon and Chelsey's family
stayed till late that night playing games, going for a walk and
bike ride, and playing at the park.

Don't think Logan will forget this very special day!

WAY TO GO LOGAN!!!

Wettest May on Record

Chelsey and I decided about a month ago that we would go to
 Bear Lake for Memorial Day.
She was especially excited since she wasn't able to go last summer
due to her pregnancy and threatening to go into labor early.
We talked about the fun outdoor activities we could participate in.
Well as it got closer, the weather looked worse and worse.
I called her a couple of days before the trip to see if she'd like to
head south instead and stay at Ron's dad's house,
but she was worried it wouldn't be baby proofed enough.
So we braved the cold, wet weather and headed north.
Of course, we saw on the news that this has been
the wettest May on record!
So we went where it was even colder and wetter!

I think back to our camping trips when I was growing up
and my favorite memories were
being stuck in the camper due to bad weather
and playing games and eating lots of yummy food.
So that's what we did on this trip and hopefully we created some good memories!
We played tons of games, watched movies,
and ATE and ATE and ATE.

I looked up while we were playing a game and saw this cute little face looking down at us.
Jackson is one of the happiest babies I've ever seen.
He took 5 or 6 steps to walk to his brother Logan.
He's so tiny and only 9 months old so this is amazing to me!

Mason and Logan had so much fun together.
They played lots of video games, board games,
and got to go 4-wheeling once when the weather
was decent for 20 minutes!

Cute little girls and their not-so-cute binkies.
I told them I wanted to take their picture with
their binkies so I could tease them later on.
They're not very ashamed of them because they
were very willing to let me!

They played for hours on end with their zoobles and little pet shop animals.
They both have cute little imaginations and get along so well.

On Monday we decided to brave the cold and actually venture outdoors to go to the Paris cemetary where many of our ancestors are buried. We saw the graves of my grandparents and great grandparents. We were going to take pictures of everyone around the gravesites, but it started to rain so we looked at them from the car. It still amazes me to see my grandmother's grave and see that she died on Christmas Eve. When my Dad was 9 years old, he woke up to what should have been an exciting day but heard the terrible news that his mother had passed away the night before. He said that was a very sad Christmas for them that year. I can't even imagine. Luckily his Dad married a wonderful woman two years later and she's the grandmother I remember.

Well, even though we had pretty rotten weather, I think we made the best of it. Jeremy keeps teasing us that we wimp out everytime we have a trip planned and the weather doesn't cooperate, so at least we can say we
followed through on our plans! But I have to say it's time for the weather to get decent. We're definitely ready for

SUNNY DRY WARM WEATHER!!!!
