THE PIA SKI BUNNIES

Since Mason learned how to ski last week, we decided it
was time for the girls to learn too. We decided I would
work with Berkley and Ron with Bryn. So as I'm
explaining to Berkley the basics of stopping and turning,
we see Bryn whiz past us pretty much going straight
down with her arms out to the side to balance herself.
Luckily the hill levels out at the bottom so you come
to a gradual stop.
So Berkley had to get going to catch up to her.

Alta is the perfect place to teach kids, with 3 rope tows
that graduate from easiest to harder. They all did great,
and ended up on the hardest slope. In fact, Mason got
so bored with the easy one that he started going straight
down hunched over, schussing down the mountain to
give him more speed.



















Bryn couldn't hold on to the rope tow by herself,
so she would hold on to Ron's knees while he pulled
them up. We were ready to leave and went in for some
hot chocolate when next thing we know Berks and
Mason are putting their skis back on to head back
to the slope. We were impressed they could put their
skis back on by themselves.
So they skied for another half hour.

Berkley commented she knows what she wants for
Christmas next year. So I think we started something.
But you know with our long winters, it's nice to have
something to look forward to and it's such a great
family activity.

AND IT'S SO GREAT TO BE OUTSIDE ENJOYING
THE FRESH AIR AND BEAUTFUL MOUNTAIN SCENERY.
